Last of April!

The last few weeks have been great. Prepare for photo overload.

Sometimes I put lipstick on and kiss my unsuspecting husband and then he goes around all night unknowing!

We once bought a tent and set it up in our living room. Anyone wanna go real-life camping with us someday?

It snowed on Friday.. :(

We went on a bowling date!

I lost. :(

We went to the science center!!

And we went to spaaace!

I love sticking my head into proxy bodies..

And we watched my first movie in the 360 degree theater ever!

Exhausted!!

I am officially done school. No, I haven't graduated yet (May 5!), but I am done classes, and now I'm doing my practicum at the University of Alberta Hospital in the Department of Anatomical Pathology. I know, I know.. 'What?!' I felt the same way. But now that I'm two days into it I've discovered a few things.

1. I really do like dong 100% transcription. I didn't think I would. I thought I would get bored of typing and typing and typing all day. But I don't! In fact, when I get home, after typing for 8 hours, I get on my computer and blog! AKA I type some more! Some of my friends are doing their practicums right now and not so much enjoying it because they're not doing 100% transcription! So now I'm even more glad I am!

2. I didn't like being a housewife... But now I miss it. I miss having dinner ready for my husband when he gets home from work and I miss being able to paint my nails whenever I want and getting caught up on my tv shows (like Teen Mom and Dance Moms!) and doing laundry and baking. Now I leave the house by 6:45 and I'm not home until 5:00 or later.. Which brings me to..

3. I have learned the LRT and ETS way better than I ever thought I would.

4. There is nothing wrong with going to bed at 9.

5. Working is way more strenuous on my brain than school was. Maybe it's because I don't have all my reference material with me so I'm not looking up stuff all the time. I just have to listen and do!

6. Loralie chooses hard dictators for school. Ones in the real word are super easy. hahah :)

All in all, I am tired. I am exhausted. But this is my liiiife!!!

Kids table! This was a HUGE hit! We just pulled a table and chairs out of the nursery and covered the table with paper and crayons!

Just a couple things..

I GOT MY PRACTICUMMMMMM!! At the University of Alberta Hospital in the Department of Anatomical Pathology. :) :) :) I go from April 23 until April 27, which gives me a whole week off BEFORE graduation (May 5) and then I'M DONNNNNEEEEE!!!! Baaaahhhhhhh.

Also, we spent $16 on VHS tapes! Classic ones! Like Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast, and the Hunchback of Notre Dame, and The Land Before Time. I am just so excited. So right now I'm relaxing, watching Cinderella, eating popcorn, and those disgusting Pilsbury cookies that come precut and you just stickem on a baking tray and voila! Haha!! Yay me!

Oh my goodness, I am just so crazy happy right now! I don't even care that there is snow on the ground and it's only like 6 degrees and that my family is going to Arizona next week while I'm stuck in a smelly old school taking tests and stressing out the wazoo. (That last part was kind of a fib.)

On a side note. I learned how to braid my bangs perfectly. It was the best day ever.

one month!

I can't believe we've already been married for more than a month!!!

We're still as happy and in love as we've ever been - even though Carter still tracks in mud and has absolutely destroyed what was my car. It's so dirty and smelly. :(

He still loves his job. And I still love that school is over in 22.5 days. But who's counting.

Here's some updates:

We want a dog. Or a kitten.

We have to find somewhere new to live (BIGGER!) in 2 months. Yay, but not.

Carter will be working out of town for part of april.

I got my blood sugars under control - huge relief.

We have a budget!

I apparently have insomnia. And he apparently snores.

We love Costco and going to the gym.

We eat a lot of chicken. But we hardly ever buy meals! Bag lunches for us!

Most of our evenings are spent eating and treating and watching Netflix. We love us some classic movies.

Being married is the greatest thing I've ever done. Obviously. :)

is it friday yet?

today has been brutal. first our phones got disconnected. then i went to school even though i totally didn't have to cause it was a waste and we did nothing. then i came home and packed because we're leaving for raymond. but at this rate - carter is taking his sweet time - we won't leave until 5. which means we won't get there until 11. baaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhh. :(

this week.

this week we had to leave our week of honeymooning behind and get back to reality. carter started a new job - which he is absolutely loving - and i went back to school - which i am not loving. but a friend told me there's only 37 more days of it, which is absolutely fantastic news. so basically this is our day.

5:45 AM - carter's alarm goes off. he hits snooze.
5:55 AM - carter's alarm goes off. he crawls out of bed, fixes himself breakfast, gets dressed, kisses me goodbye, and leaves for work.
6:45 AM - my alarm goes off. i hit snooze.
6:55 AM - my alarm goes off. i crawl out of bed, run to the bathroom, fix my hair, put on mascara, get dressed, make sure i have my phone, wallet, keys, lunch, homework, and some breakfast.
7:30 AM - cylie picks me up for school. such a kind friend.
8:15 AM - school.
12:15 PM - lunch. i love lunch.
1:15 PM - school.
3:10 PM - school is over. i love this part even more than lunch.
3:45 PM - cylie drops me off at home. such a kind friend.
4:00 PM - i put together some sort of supper. in the last week since we got home we've had tacos, chicken parmigiana, roast and potatoes, shepherd's pie, meatloaf, chicken and rice. who said i wouldn't cook meals?
6:00 PM - carter does dishes while i suffer through homework.
7:00 PM - gym. cardio, weight training.
9:00 PM - hot tub/steam room to relax.
9:30 PM - home. treat. more homework. prison break. make lunches.
10:00 PM - bed. mm. bed. i love sleeping.

then we do it all over again.

married life is the best. i love never feeling alone and knowing that he'll be home any time! i love that he's here when i do homework and that i don't have to try to eat all the food i cook since he loves leftovers.

seriously, advice for anyone: get married.

Wedded Life.

Hello, Mrs. Nicole Peterson coming at ya!

Married life is the best. I love that he never has to leave my side. We've been together for 144 hours. Solid. I love it. :)

Updaaaaate!

Here we are, only 11 days, 5 hours, and 55 (giver take a few) minutes from our wedding! And I guess this is just where we are in our preparations.

- Carter has officially moved all of his clothing to my house. Next weekend he is bringing his tv down, and that's about all that's left!
- We got our temple recommends! We are going through the temple on Saturday! We're both really excited!
- Carter got a joooooobbbb! This has been a huge issue. I've been stressed as it is, but then factor in that we were searching for a job and it was horrible. But today he got 3 job offers! Good ones, too! The Lord is in all things. :)
- Everything 'wedding' is done, ready, and prepared. WOO.

Wedding Gift Wish List!

Since about 4 kajillion people have asked me what we want for our wedding.. I've decided to compile a list. However, we don't want like 56 of each thing.. So try to comment or something.. Haha.

OKAY. HERE WE GO.

Coffee table. Right now we have one that's really tall and short. Hate.
Nightstands. 2. With lamps.
Picture frames and wall hangings. PLEASE. Can't get enough.
$$$$. No one says no to money.
A bigger house....
Food.
Gift cards.
Dishes. Like plates and bowls. We don't need cups. We don't need utensils.
Tupperware.
Rubbbermaid.
POTS AND PANS ******
Movies.
Towels.
Bathmats.
Bedding. Pillows, sheets (double & queen), but not blankets. Got lotsa those.
A mixer... You know what I mean? Like for making cookie batter and stuff.
Muffin tins. And a couple more cookie sheets would be good.


Other things are great too! We love everything!

5 weeks away.

This weekend we're doing a whole lot of nothing. Harry Potter marathon, brownies, pop, internet... It's fantastic. :)
